Only a couple of kilometres from the heart of Wanaka township and situated among acres of lawns and gardens, Bayview Motel is located approximately 400 metres from the main road to ensure your holiday stay will be as restful and relaxing as possible - sit back and truly enjoy our spectacular lake and mountain views. Our child friendly accommodation offers acres of lawns for the children along with a well-equipped playground area. We are far removed from the hazards of passing traffic, so your children can enjoy our outside activities in a safe environment.

The seasons bring constantly changing scenery and ambience every day of the year to create at least 365 reasons for visiting Lake Wanaka.

Our apartment style units are very spacious with large lounges so you have room to unwind. All lounges feature 40+ SKY (Cable) TV channels and a DVD player plus telephones with modem access. Two of the 2 bedroom units have open fires for your comfort and enjoyment during the winter months (June till October). All bedrooms have Queen size beds and are fitted with electric blankets. Each kitchen is fully equipped with full sized stoves and microwaves or you can enjoy a BBQ in our under-cover BBQ pavilion area.

Bayview Motel offers extensive on-site facilities, including a fully equipped laundry, courtesy coach, tour booking desk, sauna and large heated spa to name just a few. Special Family Accommodation - Available during the ski season from 15th June - 10th October as sole use family accommodation.

Formerly the owner’s on-site residence, this three bedroom family lodge with views directly overlooking Lake Wanaka, will guarantee a memorable family holiday with enough beds to sleep up to 6 people. Relax in front of the log fire in the lounge, which is equipped with SKY TV, video, DVD and CD players. Meals will be a breeze to prepare in the large kitchen area with full sized fridge, oven, microwave, gas hob and dishwasher. Forget about the early morning stampede as the lodge has two individual toilets separate from the main bathroom.

Enjoy your own private back yard area with BBQ plus exclusive use of your own laundry and drying room. You can also relax each evening with unlimited use of the on-site spas and sauna.

From October through to April we also offer the above family lodge as shared accommodation at very competitive nightly rates.

During the New Zealand winter you can expect a very ski friendly welcome from our staff of avid skiers and snowboarders. We can give you advice on all the New Zealand Ski Areas. We are very keen skiers and understand you (and your gear) want to be warm and comfortable after an enjoyable day on the slopes. Because we are passionate about our winter sports we want you to experience the same enjoyment from your ski holiday as we get from living here!

Our friendly and helpful staff at reception are happy to assist with all your tours and activity bookings for the Southern Lakes District, including general New Zealand Info and useful NZ Touring Guides. The reception area also offers a large selection of free brochures, maps and guides for ideas on local visitor attractions and activities, including popular Walks & Drives in the region.
